The Lord has been very gracious to Eagles Wings Ministry this year.  It has been a year of growth, spiritually and physically, and it has been a year of entirely relying on the Lord for His work and His direction. He is constantly surprising us with His provision and molding EWM into His design, not our own. His way is better!  EWM is meeting women’s needs by providing them with a place to rebuild their lives. They are rebuilding their relationships with Christ, others, and themselves.  These are some testimonials of those we have been serving. One client was a woman who was fleeing from her abusive partner. We provided shelter while she chose to seek counseling and treatment in Craig. While with us, she invited our Savior into her life.  Hallelujah! Another soul in heaven for the Kingdom of God! We are blessed to have been a part of God’s plan for this woman!

We are now working with a professional woman who is recovering from a mental and emotional breakdown. Through discipleship from EWM volunteers and her own Bible study, she is growing in her relationship with Christ and learning to forgive and extend to others the grace, mercy, and love that Jesus has shown us. We have witnessed tremendous growth in her as we navigated this journey with her, and she has provided much encouragement.  We have learned that the Lord wants us to be flexible in who He brings to us for ministry.

While we do not know what God has for our future, we do know He is bringing more women in crisis to us. We are so thankful for Brian and Patty Boggs, our Barnabas couple, who have been steadfast in their willingness to be used by God through EWM. They oversee Myrn’s House, a residential facility home for hope and healing for up to two women at a time. They demonstrate a healthy home life to those we serve and incorporate the residents into their family. The residents perform household tasks, participate in family devotions and games, and integrate into the church and community.

While we see the Lord blessing our ministry, we still have several needs. We pray for a person with the call to serve women in crisis and recovery as its volunteer Executive Director. This position would oversee the ministry, support our Barnabas couple, vocalize the vision of EWM, and seek to expand the ministry in whatever direction the Lord brings us. We know that God has already chosen that person. Please pray that EWM will discover the right person who feels that pull from Him.

Now that God is bringing in more clients, please pray for our continued growth and expansion. Construction began two years ago on Pat’s House, our second residential building. It has been on hold while awaiting construction donations and volunteer teams to build. Additionally, the project requires a dedicated team leader to oversee the construction work. Pat’s house will also need a single woman or married couple willing to raise their mission support and serve in the Barnabas capacity.

Please consider supporting us in one of the following ways.

1.  Pray for the ministry. We genuinely desire your prayers for guidance and direction for the ministry and the women God would like us to serve.

2. Spread the word. We have learned that word of mouth is the most effective way of sharing our ministry. Let others know of the work God is doing in Alaska.  We are available for women who are hurting, seeking God, and need help. If you know a woman who is ready to make a change, prayerfully
consider sharing us with them and them with us.

3.  Financial support. As we are all aware, this is a challenging time due to the current high cost of living and increased overall expenses throughout the United States. We would be grateful if you would consider including Eagles Wings Ministries in your giving to the Lord. You can use the QR code on this page to donate digitally, or you can mail donations to:
